BetAmerica Racebook Review With BetAmerica, watch and bet on horses or greyhounds racing live at tracks located throughout the US and overseas. Connected to tracks around the world, this racebook brings you thousands of races to bet on. BetAmerica also provides live streaming of nearly every race for which wagering is offered. After testing 20 online sportsbooks for our 2021 review, here are our top findings on BetAmerica: BetAmerica is one of the few online horse racing sites in America. Unfortunately, you must create separate accounts for horse racing and sports betting, preventing BetAmerica from gaining a competitive advantage in the sports betting space. BetAmerica Review When it comes to horse race wagering in the United States, BetAmerica is one of the most well-known brands. The operator offers both horse racing, online casino games, and sports betting, with players choosing their option upon visiting the site. Our BetAmerica review found that the operator uses state of the art security technology to ensure that all player information is heavily encrypted and that all funds are kept safe and segregated from the company’s operating money, in accordance with the various state-issued gaming licenses which the operator works under.
After testing 20 online sportsbooks for our 2021 review, here are our top findings on BetAmerica:
States Supported: Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Casino: BetAmerica only offers online casino games in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. BetAmerica offers over 350 slot games, roulette, blackjack, and virtual poker games. Note: This review focuses on sports betting and not casino.
Horse Racing: BetAmerica is one of the few online horse racing sites in America. Unfortunately, you have to create separate accounts to bet on horse racing and sports. Also, you can’t transfer funds between accounts. If this were not the case, BetAmerica would stand out more to me and I would recommend it to individuals who bet on sports and horse racing.

BetAmerica offers 15 different sports, with domestic and international leagues available for all of the most popular sports (soccer, basketball, hockey, etc.). Common bet types include moneyline, spread, total, future, parlay, team and player props. While BetAmerica offers all of the basics, it doesn’t provide any unique contests or bet types that put it in the same elite class as DraftKings, PointsBet, or FanDuel.
Alternative spreads: I noticed BetAmerica lacks alternative spreads for regular season NFL games. For example, if the line of a game is Detroit Lions +3 at -110 odds, most sportsbooks will offer Detroit Lions +1/2/4/5/6/7 or Detroit Lions -1/2/3/4/5 for different odds. These bets are popular with customers, so I’m surprised BetAmerica doesn’t offer them.
Prop bets: BetAmerica offers an average variety of prop bets. An example of a prop bet is “Will Josh Allen throw over or under 0.5 interceptions” or “Will the Houston Rockets make over or under 10.5 three-pointers?”
Cash Out Feature: Like most sportsbooks, BetAmerica offers a cash-out feature, which allows you to amend your original bet and lock in a profit or a loss by settling your bet (or a portion of your bet) early, without having to wait for the event to finish. Knowing you can cash a bet out early incentivizes you to watch every game you bet on, or at least get scoring updates.
Daily Odds Boosts: Like most sportsbooks, BetAmerica offers odds boosts, which they call “Super Odds.” An example of an odds boost would be boosting the odds of both Jonathan Taylor and Josh Allen to score a touchdown from +280 to +315. This means for every $1 wagered, you would win $3.15.
As denoted by the table below, BetAmerica offers good odds on soccer moneyline bets and NCAAB moneyline bets. For comparison, if average soccer moneyline odds on a team are +130 at other sports betting sites, BetAmerica might offer odds at +140. In this example, every dollar wagered would return $1.40 at BetAmerica versus $1.30 at other sites.
Meanwhile, BetAmerica offers below average odds on NFL moneyline bets and NHL spread bets. For comparison, if average NHL spread odds on a team are -110 at other sports betting sites, BetAmerica might offer odds at -115. In this example, every dollar wagered would return $.87 at BetAmerica versus $.91 at other sites.

Methodology: To score Odds, Moneyline.com gathers data from 21 sportsbooks over several months. For our 2020 Sportsbook Review, over 10,000 data points were collected for spread, moneyline, and over/under (bets).
I collected odds for spread, moneyline, and total bets for over 75 NFL games, 75 MLB games, 75 NBA games, 75 NHL games, 75 Soccer games (various leagues), and 75 NCAA Football and 75 NCAA Basketball games. When collecting odds, I collected the same games simultaneously for each sportsbook, ensuring data accuracy.
Live betting at BetAmerica left me wanting a bit more. While there are running clocks for games, instant bets, and a live match tracker, I would like to see additional bets, such as instant bets for NFL games, added in the future.
Instant Bets: BetAmerica offers a few instant bets, which it calls fast markets. Instant bets are bets on the next play or the next few minutes of a game. Examples of instant bets offered at BetAmerica are “What will happen first in the next 1 minute of game time? A goal, corner kick, free-kick, goal-kick, or throw-in?” Unfortunately, I did not see any fast markets for NFL games, which sportsbooks such as DraftKings and FanDuel provide.
Live Match Tracker overview: BetAmerica offers an industry-standard match tracker for live betting sports such as football, basketball, hockey, and soccer. The match tracker has a live clock, displays the score by quarter, and shows which team is attacking in real-time. BetAmerica also lists running game clocks in its live betting menu, a helpful feature. In addition, BetAmerica offers some live stats for each game. For example, BetAmerica lists goal attempts for soccer games, shot on target, corner kicks, offsides, and more.
Live Streaming: This feature allows users to stream games live from their phones. Unlike FanDuel and SugarHouse, BetAmerica does not offer live streaming. For sportsbooks that offer it, this feature is currently only available for soccer and tennis games.
I found the BetAmerica mobile app to be easy to use, especially when navigating to different sports and games. That said, BetAmerica still has room to further improve the app navigation by making it easier to find the BetAmerica Extra articles.
Likes: BetAmerica makes it easy to check open bets, navigate to different games and sports, and switch back and forth between the sportsbook and casino games.
Dislikes: I could not find the mobile app's educational section, and navigating to statistics and news articles is difficult.
Statistics: BetAmerica allows you to check the results of past games for most sports. Statistics include league standings, final scores for each team’s last five games, and each team’s next few games. While these statistics are basic, it is a luxury to have the ability to lookup scores in a sports betting app.
BetAmerica Extra: BetAmerica Extra contains articles for popular leagues previewing games, discussing picks, and looking at betting trends. There are also videos covering the same type of information. These articles and videos are an excellent addition to the sportsbook. However, they’re almost impossible to find.
I stumbled upon BetAmerica Extra after clicking on “house rules” and accidentally tapping somewhere with my thumb. I enjoyed reading some of the articles in BetAmerica Extra, and no question, BetAmerica can do a better job of making them more accessible.
BetAmerica’s education is limited to a sub-par guide that defines popular bet types in one sentence. BetAmerica does not use images or examples to explain these bet types further. Also, I was only able to find this education on the website and not the mobile app. Needless to say, I would not recommend BetAmerica for first-time bettors.
For more education, see our guides on how to read odds, different bet types, and bonus rollovers, or check out industry leaders such as DraftKings and 888sport.
I was left unimpressed with BetAmerica’s new user promotions, which give out less bonus money than competing sportsbooks. New user promotions aside, I found that ongoing promotions were comparable to the rest of the industry.
New customers: Promotions for new customers are where BetAmerica lags behind top competitors such as DraftKings, BetRivers, and FanDuel. The other sports betting apps mentioned offer risk-free bets up to $500 or deposit matches of 100% up to $250. BetAmerica only offers a casino deposit bonus of 25% up to $500 or a free bet of $50 when you make a bet of $50.
Existing customers: BetAmerica does offer a few seasonal promotions that compare to those offered by other sportsbooks. For example, there are live bet bonuses, parlay insurance, and NFL touchdown specials. Over several months, I found that BetAmerica typically provides 4 – 8 ongoing promotions.
Overall, BetAmerica is not on the same level as some of the premier sportsbooks available in Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Sportsbooks such as DraftKings and FanDuel have more to offer in multiple areas most relevant to everyday sports bettors.
On the plus side, I did enjoy BetAmerica’s mobile app and I thought the BetAmerica Extra articles were a cool feature not offered by most sportsbooks. That said, BetAmerica needs to improve its educational content and bonuses before I would recommend it as a primary sports betting app.

For the BettingBuck.com annual best online sportsbooks review published in 2020, a total of 2,300 data points were collected over six months and used to score sportsbooks. Additionally, odds data was collected for each sportsbook on over 1,400 bets to give each sportsbook a comparative odds ranking.
Sports betting sites were scored across seven core categories to computer an overall rating: total number of sports and bets offered, odds, live betting features, mobile apps, educational resources, ease of use, and current bonuses.
